The Indianapolis Colts are the professional football team for Indianapolis, Indiana, in the National Football League. The Colts were formerly the team that represented Baltimore, Maryland. However, in 1984 they were moved to Indianapolis and have lately begun to prosper in the NFL. On February 4, 2007, the Colts won their first Super Bowl and became the NFL champions. The most famous player on the team is the quarterback, Peyton Manning. Other key players include the wide receiver Marvin Harrison, offensive lineman Jeff Saturday, defensive back Bob Sanders, and kicker Adam Vinatieri. The head coach, Tony Dungy, has gained fame not only for his coaching that led to a championship win, but also for his work for the African American race and his faith in God and Roman Catholic religion. Though the Colts are not performing as well this season due to several injuries, their fans are hoping they can pull through with another championship and beat their archrivals, the New England Patriots.
