The Rambler is the mascot of Loyola University of Chicago. The original symbol that went along with the term "rambler" was actually a homeless man. The mascot used to be Bo Rambler (whose name was short for Hobo). However, since having a scraggly looking bum cheering at sporting events did not make Loyola appear to be a high quality university, the symbol was changed to a wolf. Today, this wolf is the one cheering at every basketball game at Loyola. |
