As I have said, I come from a huge, Italian, Catholic family. My extended family on both my father's side and my mother's side are very firm believers in the Roman Catholic faith. My family chose to have me be baptized when I was an infant. They chose my faith for me. I attended St. Pius X, a Catholic grade school, from kindergarten to eighth grade. However, after I graduated from St. Pius, I myself chose to attend a Catholic High School, Bishop Chatard. I had my confirmation during my freshman year of high school, when I chose for myself that I wanted to be an active Catholic. I go to church on Sundays, and sometimes I read at mass. My mom encouraged me to read at mass because she says that I have a very "good reporting voice," which is partly why I am interested in journalism. My faith has been very important to me and my entire family for my whole life.
