Indianapolis, Indiana, is the capital city of Indiana. It is the 13th largest city in the United States. It is commonly known as the Crossroads of America because it is in the center of the nation and is easily accessible via car. One of the main sites is Monument Circle, which lies in the heart and center of the city. This circle contains a sculpture that pays tribute to numerous soldiers and servicemen from all different time periods. Indianapolis is perhaps best known for the Indianapolis 500, which takes place at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Other events that occur in Indianapolis include Indianapolis Colts football games which take place in the RCA Dome, Pacers basketball games in Conseco Fieldhouse, and Indians baseball games at Victory Field. Indianapolis is also known for its large appetite and rich foods. Perhaps that is why Indiana has the 14th highest obesity ranking in the United States!
